What Is the FOB Price Calculator?

The FOB Price Calculator helps exporters sum all seller-side costs to produce a Free On Board quote under Incoterms® 2020. Under FOB, the seller delivers when goods are loaded on the vessel at the named port; risk and cost transfer to the buyer at that point.

Use this tool for sales teams, factory pricing, forwarders, and cross-border sellers. Whether you quote FOB Shanghai, Shenzhen, or Ningbo, enter product cost, packaging, inland freight, export clearance, and other local charges to get a proforma-ready FOB total. All calculations run locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.

FAQ

Who pays freight under FOB?
Under FOB, the seller delivers goods on board the vessel at the named port of shipment and pays costs to that point. The buyer pays main carriage and insurance from the port of loading onward.
Does FOB include export customs clearance?
Typically yes — export clearance and local charges up to loading are the seller's responsibility unless the contract states otherwise. Confirm with your sales contract and Incoterms® 2020.
Can I use this for FOB Shanghai or FOB Shenzhen quotes?
Yes. Enter product cost and all seller-side charges (packaging, inland freight to port, export clearance, and other local fees). State the port of shipment on your quotation.
What is the difference between FOB price and unit price?
FOB price is the total seller-side cost to load goods on board at the named port. Divide by quantity to get unit price for comparison with buyer targets.
Should I quote in USD or local currency?
Most international buyers expect USD (or EUR) for FOB quotes. If you calculate in CNY, convert using your bank rate and state the currency clearly on the proforma invoice.
